Are you ready to create an electronic portfolio (ePortfolio)?

As an Alternative Certification in Special Education student in the COEHS teacher education program, you will be creating, developing and revising your ePortfolio for the next 2-3 semesters. What better way to organize and display your work and artifacts than through an electronic medium. Imagine all the possibilities of a totally electronic portfolio: website, CD, DVD, Flash drive, PPT presentation, etc.

To make this process easy to understand you will be provided with:

1. Instruction on what to include in your ePortfolio in your EDMT 692 and 693 Courses.
2. Access to tutorials, resources and frequently asked questions at this website.
3. Ongoing support and technology advice from your Practicum instructor.
4. Contact eportfolio@nku.edu for Technology support with any technology-related questions or concerns you may have.

This "getting started" graphic will help introduce you to ePortfolio. To learn more about each step in the process, you can download the ePortfolio Guide. The guide is designed to take you step-by-step through the process of establishing and maintaining your ePortfolio.

Get to know the ePortfolio Requirements. Read carefully and ask questions if you have them. Content questions should be directed to your practicum advisor.

ePortfolio Assessment

This Assessment Rubric will be used to evaluate your ePortfolio. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with this rubric.

When you have created your ePortfolio and you are ready to have it evaluated. You will need to Submit your ePortfolio to your Practicum Advisor.

You will need to register yourself with the ePortfolio Assessment Program (Required). Follow the link above to create your account. Please select a password you are likely to remember. Once your account has been created you will be able to access the system and view your assessments of your ePortfolio. You will only need to enter the system when an assessment has been posted.
